Summer's coming to an end....

I know...sad right? Seems like it has just started. I had a lot of great memories this summer. Even though I didn't see my friends that I go to school with all that much (okay maybe only twice :)) I did see some that I talk to via twitter and youtube, and a few that I used to go to school with. Heck, I even started talking to one of my friends from my Catholic School that I was about ready to get a restraining order against! Turned out she decided to grow up during Freshman year.

First week of Summer

Probably my favorite part of Summer. You always think it's going to last forever then, it's when you always hang out with your friends and you just feel free.

So here is a picture of me and a few friends (if they see this they're gonna kill me). It was at my friend Mary's birthday party (one with the black shirt on) which was the day after we got out of school. It was fun, we always manage to do something crazy when she gets everyone all together. This was just a few of us that were all there...I couldn't find a "normal" picture of everyone there, we all look like idiots. :)

A week went by, wasn't too fast, but it was fast, and I was in Chincoteague. <3 The view from my hotel was just absolutely AMAZING!! Definitely one of the best beaches to ever go to.

Next stop, 4th of July. Well, I'm probably the only person that you will ever meet that has never been to a picnic on the 4th. Yupp, true story. Never been to a 4th of July picnic. So we basicly sat in the house all day getting ready to go on vacation #2 of the summer, that would be Kentucky. Of course though, I've never missed seeing fireworks on the 4th. Whether it would be sitting on my deck in my backyard back in Easton, sitting down at the Riverside, sitting in the middle of a football stadium, or going to Bethlehem, (which for the past 2 years has been a tradition with me and my one friend, we'll get back to that later) I would never miss them. Then there was always the 4th at my Grammy's house. Her birthday just happened to be the same day, so we would really celebrate. What better way to celebrate than Uncle Joey's homemade fireworks? I'll tell you this, the guy's lucky he still has a head. Back to the Bethlehem fireworks, me and my friend have seem to somehow make this a tradition. This year we decided to have fun with my camera, and take pictures of us making goofy faces (this lasted about an hour) and some of them, priceless! Of course, I won't post them here (She lives 10-15 minutes from me but she would storm over here in a heartbeat and probably start beating me in my sleep.) But as usual, fireworks are fireworks, you have the screaming little kids in front of you and the person behind you having a coughing fit, but hey, it's all part of the experience.
Alright, so one week passes, and it's time to head down to Kentucky, the wonderful 12 hour mountainous drive :) Turns out the stupid person I am didn't get any sleep that night, so my alarm goes off at 2:00am, and at this point I'm freaking out, thinking that it's just going to be a miserable day (I can't sleep in cars, sadly.) I went downstairs and poured myself a cup of coffee out though, so after that I was pretty wide awake.

Went to Wawa then and got ice, and another cup of coffee, and we headed out. Well, we crossed the bridge over to PA, and we totally forgot they were replacing the street lights on Route 22 around Cemetery Curve (it's called that for a number of reasons, send me a tweet and I'll explain.). So there we are, only car on the road (it's 3:30am on a Sunday) and it's pitch black. Just wonderful. Once we were out of that mess and there were streetlights, I felt a little better. "Everyday America" came on, made me very happy. :)
An hour later, we're halfway to Harrisburg, and by this time were on Route 78. Now if your from around my area, you know that Lenhartsville is not a place where you want to be at 4:00am. That's the time were truck drivers think "Oh, lets drive at 80mph and race eachother! No one's on the road!" Thus, ending in killing people in the cars. So we're out there in Lenhartsville, and I wasn't stressed, until we ran into fog. Very. bad. fog. Then come the semi's speeding past us. Wonderful isn't it? (I know, I get stressed to easily.)

The rest of the drive was fine. No more panic attacks (except for maybe being on the very top of WV mountains, other than that, I was fine! :)) We got into Lexington around 4ish, not too bad! We headed out to a Chinese Resturant that we hadn't been to in 5 years. I forgot that the food was actually pretty gross, and our waiter...was just...WEIRD!!! Really, no other way to describe it than that. We went back to the hotel, and pretty muched crashed. 37 hours without sleep takes a toll on you :)
Monday-nothing exciting happened...just a near visit to the Georgetown Community Hospital :) Yeahh...long story, aparently not having coffee in the morning can make you pass out? Hahahahaa...fun!! I won't get into that story too much :)
So the week flew by fast, too fast. I saw a friend that I've known since I was 11, we caught up a little bit, and I also saw a friend that I've only known for a year, but feel like it's been more than that. I think one night we talked for close to 3 hours! Crazy! I think that is the part I look forward to the most about vacation, seeing all my friends that I don't see throughout the year.

Saturday we went to RUPP ARENA!! You know...Rupp Arena, were SUGARLAND filmed LIVE ON THE INSIDE. Yeah, I was there! Not for the concert sadly, but still :) Last year, I went into the actually arena and got a few pics, (which was awwweeesssommmeee!!! I got to watch them set up for Robert Plant and Alison Krauss!!) and I might be able to get in there and get some pics again next year. :) The picture is from last year BTW :)
After we came back from Kentucky just seems like it was all a blur. I mean, the rest of the summer, just seemed to be a blur. I got my "Live on the Inside" CD, (Come on, don't think I wasn't going to squeeze something Sugarland related here) and...that was pretty much the only thing I can remember! This summer was definitely a great summer. I'll remember it starting off watching the CMT awards, and I'll remember it ending raining...how depressing? lol. But hey, I did talk my mom into taking me to a Sugarland concert ---> :) October 1st!!! YESSS!!!

Thanks for reading my loooonnnggg post :)
